Pilotuner T601 FM Tuner (1947)
I found this Pilotuner at a yardsale in Morrow Bay, Ca.
FM started to get popular after the war. Most radios would only receive AM so they started making tuners that would receive the new FM band. A lot of the old AM radios had a imput for a Phonograph or other audio. The new tuner would plug into the audio amplifier jack and your AM radio would play the new FM. I connected this tuner to the phonograph plug on the back of my Brunswick Panatrope and now I can listen to FM or AM it. Love these old radios.
